Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr. and Kerry Washington take the 'ice bucket challenge' - 27 Aug 2014 17:23

While the 'ice bucket challenge' continues to raise funds and awareness for ALS, below are the three stars challenged by Walt Disney CEO, Bob Iger, including Chris Pratt's hilarious new take on the challenge.
Chris Pratt (Peter Quill of Guardians of the Galaxy).Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark of Iron Man).Kerry Washington (Olivia Pope of ABC's Scandal).Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, threw the challenge to the above three.Because Pratt was challenged by two people, he decides to do the challenge 'slightly different' by drinking 'blue ice vodka' and 'Smirnoff ice.' That is, until he's ambushed by a monsoon of ice water from above.
The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of this news organization. Who else would you nominate to take the challenge? Let us know in the comments below. For the uninitiated, the ice bucket challenge requires anyone challenged to do it either contribute $100 to ALS, or throw a bucket of ice water over their head. While many celebrities, tech gurus, and CEOs have taken the ice, they have also generously contributed to funding ALS research.

Justin Bieber has revealed a video in which he covers Johnny Cash's 'Ring Of Fire'.

Vanessa Hudgens brings out the vixen for racy photo shoot - 27 Aug 2014 09:12

Tags:

By Jennifer Pearson for MailOnline
Vanessa Hudgens got a chance to be the 'bad girl' for Flaunt magazine's The Distress Issue: Back To School currently on newsstands.
The glossy pages and behind-the-scenes video video showed the 25-year-old actress in various modes of undress and the unusual props include a dirt bike, fiery red smoke and castoff tires at a truck yard.
Vanessa assumed the tough girl air while lounging on the big rig tires, and revealing lots of skin in high-cut denim shorts and a stylish white and black-trimmed jacket.
She wasn't wearing anything under the blazer either except a chic necklace and her abs were a sculpted work of art as well.
Completing Vanessa's long, lean legs were a pair of white pumps, while her shoulder-length brown bobb showed lowlights of blonde.
Another shot showed the star leaning back on a café wall in skimpy black crop top and a red skirt with interesting yellow banding around the waist and hemline.
Wearing another crop top, patterned leggings and heels, Vanessa sat upon a white motorbike as if she's ridden them her whole life.
The former High School Musical star perhaps was in the mood to rid herself of that goody-two-shoes image for good.
One saucy shot had the fabulously fit actress strutting past a row of construction vehicles while wearing a little red top, low-slung black trousers and strappy black heels.
Vanessa hit heatwave territory in a photo that showed her holding two smoke bombs releasing clouds of red vapor.
On the cover, Vanessa showed off the results of her daily yoga and Pilates in a sexy white midriff-baring top and torn jeans while standing next to the same white motorbike.
Bracelets and jeweled rings abounded on her manicured hands, and she also wore a sparkling belly ring.
The Spring Breakers star also opened up about a boyfriend she had in middle school.
'Well, my first boyfriend was in sixth grade,' Vanessa told Flaunt. 'At the time, you think it's a big relationship but it's the furthest thing from a relationship you can possibly imagine.
'And there are certain rules, too. Like you can't let them [your partner] break up with you-you have to break up with them.'
And fitness fanatic that she is, Vanessa doesn't mind bending the rules a bit when it comes to certain indulges in her diet.
'You only have one life, and there are just so many delicious things. Like chocolate. Wine,' Vanessa told the magazine.
Vanessa struggled with fame during her teen years after High School Musical took off and preferred to hide behind pop culture and rock-inspired fashions.
'I mean, I went through a period where I shopped at Hot Topic. I didn't want guys to look at me. But it made things easier,' she recalled.
The difficult part of becoming a grown up, she added, was 'finding and being your true self. It takes so much energy to find - it's easier to hide behind a mask.'
Vanessa - who has been dating actor Austin Butler for three years - obviously doesn't shy away from attention nowadays.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. Why I only ever date actresses - 27 Aug 2014 06:43

Working such long hours on film sets means that Daniel, who would eventually like to direct his own movies, has always found love among his fellow thespians

Romance rules: Daniel Radcliffe has a well-deserved reputation
After a decade of playing one of the world's most famous characters and becoming a multi-millionaire before he even finished school, Daniel Radcliffe could easily have ended up as a right horror.
But despite 14 years of global adulation while playing boy-wizard Harry Potter, Daniel, now 25, has a well-deserved reputation as the rarest kind of celebrity - an unaffected and modest former child star.
Millions of female fans around the world would rate him as a real catch.
But sadly for most of them, only girls who work in the same industry are in with a chance.
Working such long hours on film sets means that Daniel, who has recently finished writing his first screenplay and would eventually like to direct his own movies, has always found love among his fellow actors.
He says: "If you're in a film and you're an actor and your girlfriend is not an actor and you say, 'Right, I'm going away for four months and, no, I won't see you at all during that time', that could go down really badly," he says.
"The other person would just say, 'Well, why don't you just not take the job?', whereas another actor would understand that's just not something you would do."
Daniel's been facing a lot of questions about his relationships of late.
But that goes with the territory when you're starring in your first love story.
Charming tale: A post-Potter Daniel Radcliffe with Kazan in What If
In the offbeat rom-com What If he plays a heartbroken hero called Wallace, who realises his feelings for his new best pal Chantry, played by screenwriter and actress Zoe Kazan, run deeper than friendship.
But she already has a rather nice boyfriend played by Rafe Spall, and both she and Wallace are reluctant to reveal their true feelings lest it ruin their friendship and her relationship.
On set, the friendship between Zoe and Daniel was very real and they found ways of bonding during a skinny-dipping scene… involving the little stick-on patches that actresses use to preserve their modesty while shooting more intimate scenes.
"Zoe wrote me a message on her nipple pasties which said, 'Hi Dan'," he reveals, laughing.
"It was a concise message.
"I tried to write, 'Hi Zoe', on my bum but I seem to remember trying to do it in a mirror.
"My handwriting is not great at the best of times, but trying to do it backwards on my backside wouldn't have gone well."
Perhaps writing on his derriere is a skill he's yet to master but elsewhere, Daniel is going from strength to strength.
Like Wallace, he sticks to a set of principles and he seems to have a healthy attitude towards his ex-girlfriends too.
Looking handsome in a pale blue shirt that highlights his blue eyes nicely, he says: "I've always actually been pretty good in terms of the girls I've gone out with.
Starting out: As Harry Potter with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson
"They've all been pretty great. I don't have any exes that I look back on and go, 'Oh, that person was nuts'.
"I've always gone out with really good people and I'm still, if not friends with, on friendly terms with all of them."
The London-born actor, who worked on a BBC adaptation of David Copperfield before landing his life-changing Harry Potter role at the age of 11, is clear on his reasons for keeping things amicable.
"I find the idea that life should just be one big long string of people that you've hurt and can no longer speak to and have cut out of your life far too painful to ever let that become a reality," he says.
"Because that's the thing.
"Once you've loved somebody, even if you've changed and they've changed and things move on, there's still a part of you that loves that person, and so it would always seem a shame to look back on them with scorn."
At the moment Daniel's in a relationship with US actress Erin Darke, who is five years his senior.
They met on the set of the true-life movie Kill Your Darlings, which came out last year.
He reveals: "We just got on immediately. It was one of those instant things where you're like, 'Oh, I really like this person.'
"You just have a connection with somebody and then suddenly it's incredibly easy to talk to them - one of those sort of situations."
Though he says they had great fun working together, the young couple are reluctant to share screen time again.
"She's an actress, and I knew as soon as she experiences any success, if she's even remotely linked to me, people will say, 'Well that only happened because of going out with him'," he explains.
"People are quick to make those judgments and I wanted to make sure they can never make them about her, because I know how hard she's worked to be where she is."

Dating: Radcliffe met Erin Darke on a film set
So you won't find Daniel and Erin posing for selfies together or airing any secrets on Twitter.
In fact, Daniel finds it "insane" that any famous actor would join the site.
Still grounded and still appreciative of his success, in many ways Daniel is still in awe of film-making - just like the child he was a decade ago, working on the Harry Potter franchise, "where you'd walk into the canteen for lunch and there'd be a line full of goblins trying to get served".
He's also grateful to his fans, who he loves meeting and interacting with on the red carpet "even if it is crazy".
But he does admit the whole showbiz circus can be stressful.
"Premieres are the bit that they pay you for, in my opinion," he says.
"It's cool but it's odd and there's also a lot of anxiety. Are your flies done up? How do you look?
"I don't love how I look at the best of times, and it's a moment where people are taking lots of photos and are going to be analysing how you look.
"Those are the moments when it becomes slightly stressful so you go, 'OK well, what time will I be watching Fawlty Towers by?'"
There won't be much time for that any time soon because he is now one of the most in-demand young actors around.
His projects in the pipeline include a film called Horns, a fantasy thriller in which he plays a young man who wakes up one day to find horns sprouting from his temples.

There's also what he calls his proudest role yet, as civil engineer Washington Roebling in a drama called Brooklyn Bridge, plus a new version of the Frankenstein story.
"As long as I'm working, or at some point have the potential to be working, I'm absolutely content," he says.
"The one thing that I love in this world is working on film sets. So as long as I know that I'm going to be given the opportunity to do that again in the near future, everything else falls into place."
But is he also trying to distance himself from a certain boy wizard?
Daniels says: "I want to keep the acting as varied as I possibly can. I don't think there's ever going to be one film in people's minds which finally separates me from Harry.
"I don't think I ever will be separated from Harry and I don't want to be.
"It was an incredibly important part of my life and something I still love and am very proud of.
"But I'm going to be popping up doing other things as an actor that you might not have seen me doing in the past."
