She made the rookie error to go without a coat when she stepped out in chilly Paris for an appearance at NRJ radio station on Monday.
But Taylor Swift came prepared when she re-emerged in the French capital on Tuesday, rugging up in a seriously chic caramel-coloured trenchcoat.
Although the piece concealed the majority of her outfit, a red dress with a zipper detail could be see poking through at the top.
The coat skimmed Taylor's thigh, meaning her bronzed and toned pins were on full display.
The stunning blonde finished off her look with a pair of strappy black heels while her fair locks were worn in a coiffed retro style.
However on Monday when the Shake It Off hitmaker arrived at the NRJ radio studios, she looked very much need of a coat over the top of her thin white long-sleeve T-shirt and black high-waisted mini-skirt.
Luckily the shivering singer was brought some outerwear for when she left the studio and headed back out into the blustery cold.
Taylor's chequered coat matched the burgundy colour of her heels, and she wore her a red lipstick with her eyes flicked with black liner.
It seems though Swift wasn't a fan of the Paris drizzle as it stopped her from getting a close up look at the Eiffel Tower.
'The Eiffel Tower outside my car window. Would've gotten out but it was raining and ew,' she tweeted.
Taylor has just been announced as a new guest mentor on NBC's competitive singing series The Voice.
The 24-year-old followed up her Twitter announcement by heading out to another of her 1989 Secret Sessions events, this time in New York City.
'Way excited about being a "key advisor" on @NBCTheVoice,' wrote the Shake It Off songstress on her account, adding: 'Here are some pics of me and the coaches that I key advised.'
She then posted a collage of herself posing in a chic black dress with Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
It must have been a well-kept secret, because the addition of Gwen and Pharrell to the show was announced months ago.
Taylor's fellow advisors Alicia Keys, Gavin Rossdale, Stevie Wonder and Little Big Town were also announced throughout the last couple of months as the show gears up to air on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The album will be released on October 27, but Taylor has been treating her fans to special previews of it in various cities across the USA.
In an interview with FASHION Magazine's November edition, Taylor, who has dated a slew of famous men including Joe Jonas, John Mayer and Harry Styles, says she's become less interested in romance now she's older.
'When I was younger, I was just fascinated by romance and now the most important thing to me is the opinions of [my] sisterhood of friends,' she told the magazine.
'Celebrities surround themselves with people who don't know what they want and only have you to validate their lives - that's not interesting to me.
