Zach Galifianakis is known as one of the most hilarious comedians around the world. What people don't always associate him with is the word hero.
Back when Galifinakis was a struggling comedian in Los Angeles, he built a relationship with an elderly woman who volunteered at his local laundromat.
After his big break in the movie, "Hangover," he learned that Elizabeth "Mimi" Haist became homeless.
"In the time they lost touch, Haist became homeless. When Galifianakis heard the news, he quickly found her a modest apartment to live in. He still pays her rent and utilities," said
Haist now is frequently mistaken for his girlfriend as you'll often find her on his arm walking the red carpet.
