Robert Downey Jr. Surprises Military Personnel at Ohio Air Force Base

Ohio Air Force base to screen his new movie Robert Downey Jr. put a smile on countless fans faces over the weekend when he made a surprise appearance at an The Judge.
The 49-year-oldWright Patterson Air Force Base on Sunday where he showcased the forthcoming Iron Man star stopped by the David Dobkin-directed film in front of more than 900 military personnel.
RDJ posted a number of pics from his visit on his Facebook page, showing his support for our nation's armed forces. "Had a blast w the airmen and airwomen at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Such an honor. The Judge #airforceflyfightwin #heroes," the Avengers star wrote on the social media site.
During his time at the military base, the Sherlock Holmes star, who is preparing for the release of his first flick produced with wife Susan Downey, said he wanted to stop by the site in order to pay tribute to the men and women who fight for our freedom.
VIDEO: Robert Downey Jr.'s True Hollywood Story "For me, it's just a way of reminding myself that there are people out there who put their lives on the line so I can go out and make movies … their sacrifice allows us to have that freedom," RDJ said ( as reported by Dayton Daily News).
Downey most recently made headlines when he revealed he's open to the idea of filming an Iron Man 4 (he previously said he had no plans to reprise his role as Tony Stark in the famed franchise), but there's one tiny catch to his proposition: his pal must direct the movie.
"Marvel badly wants Iron Man 4 and you've said you aren't doing it. How about the idea you'll do that movie if Mel directs it?," Downey was asked by Deadline in a Q and A.
To which the talented thesp replied, "Correct…Why not? That movie would be bananas."
Meanwhile,, in which Downey plays a lawyer who must confront his past in his rural Indiana hometown, hits theaters Friday.
