Beckham was in Edinburgh to promote Haig Club, and he visited the Diageo plant in Alloa yesterday to film an ad for the upmarket booze.
Mystery surrounded the night out but social media was abuzz after Posh posted a picture on Instagram of her puckering up to David during the meal, it read: "Fun night in Scotland to launch David's #haigclub x vb."
Gilmerton House is a Grade A listed Georgian mansion owned by the Kinloch family - for the past 20 years the house has been operating as an exclusive use private venue.
Scottish TV chef Gordon Ramsay heaped praise on Tom Kitchin's dishes. The star of Hell's Kitchen posted on Twitter: "Tom's extraordinary Kitchen great dinner last night thanks wee man." Tom later responded: "Thanks Big man…"
The new whisky, developed in partnership with Diageo and entrepreneur Simon Fuller, will now be available in bars, restaurants and retail stores in the United Kingdom and rolling out in the next few weeks in China, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States.
"I am incredibly proud to have been part of the creation of Haig Club," said Beckham. "I think we have made something really special. For me it has meant understanding how whisky is made and enjoyed and then working with some incredible people to write a new chapter for Haig."
