And it seems Tallulah Willis is leaning on her mother Demi Moore for support.
The 20-year-old blogger was seen spending quality time with Demi, 51, in Los Angeles on Friday.
The women were seen leaving a home in the posh Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
Tallulah kept is casual in denim shorts paired with a tie-dye hoodie and beige flats.
She wore her blue hair in a bun as she busily checked her phone while making her way to their car.
Demi, meanwhile, hid her slender frame in baggy jeans, a white top and plaid shirt.
She looked a little gaunt, shielding her eyes with black sunglasses while wearing her reading glasses on her head.
Her dark hair was loose and wavy and she carried a green juice.
Tallulah, who checked into The Meadows facility in Arizona to allegedly seek help for alcohol and drug abuse in late July, was collected by her mother on Wednesday morning after receiving almost six weeks of treatment, People confirms.
She quickly resumed activity on her Instagram account, sharing images from last month, in which she revealed her candid video interview on fashion website Stylelikeu.com she had struggled with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia when she was younger.
'Sometimes I feel like parents look at me and they're like, "Oh thank God that's not my kid,"' she says candidly in the video, in which she peels off her clothing as she delves deep into what makes her who she is today.
'I struggled a lot when I was younger, I was diagnosed with body dysmorphia. I felt like I was ugly, always,' she continues. 'You could tell me a thousand times that it's not true, but it's true, and that's OK. So that made me start to dress really like showing off my boobs and my butt and showing off those things that I was getting attention for.
'It took me until like a year ago and I remember specifically one day putting on a button-up and buttoning it up all the way to my neck and having long pants on that weren't tight and just my arms showing, and feeling so beautiful. And that was a f*ing mindf* for me! The fact that all the attention had to be on my face was so scary for me because I always wanted to distract people.
'By the time I realised that that wasn't who I was anymore, it was like I was trapped in this body and I hated that I was sexy,' she admits. 'So that was the first time I started starving myself and losing a bunch of weight and I got down to like 95lbs. I viewed super-skinny me as like smart, intelligent.'
While she revealed much more about herself than anyone would have imagined in the clip, she insists she has no regrets about being so open, captioning one behind-the-scenes shot on Instagram: 'Very grateful to have been apart of @Stylelikeu what's underneath project.'
Demi, 51, and Bruce, who also have daughters Rumer, 26, and Scout, 23, reportedly gave Tallulah an 'ultimatum' to undergo treatment in July.
A source previously said: 'Tallulah was pretty much given an ultimatum. Her parents were about to take away everything from her.'
Another friend claimed the celebrity offspring struggled when her mother checked into rehab for 'stress and exhaustion' in 2012 following her split from husband Ashton Kutcher.
The source said: 'When Demi was hospitalised, Tallulah didn't show up to school for days because she was too embarrassed.
'She was very open about Demi's issues and would sort of imply, "Of course I have issues too, look at my mom."'
Demi and Bruce were married in 1987 and split in June 1998, before their divorce was finalised in October 2000.
The 59-year-old Die Hard actor also has daughters Mabel, two, and Evelyn, four months, with wife of five years Emma Heming.
