But grieving Nicole Kidman swapped her usual high-maintenance look for bright blonde look in South Korea on Thursday.
The Australian actress cut a natural, everyday look as she attended Omega's De Ville Prestige Butterfly launch with husband Keith Urban.
Wearing her hair in a simple, quick-fix style, the appearance at the event marked the star's first return to the limelight since her father Dr Antony Kidman's untimely death.
Nicole's 75-year-old father, a clinical psychologist, died of a heart attack at a Singapore hotel restaurant shortly after completing his morning exercise on 12 September.
It was the first time that the Australian actress had been photographed since the funeral late last month, shortly after she had thanked fans for their continual support via her Facebook page earlier this week.
Omega ambassador Nicole stepped out to celebrate the release of the brand's new diamond ladies' watch, sparkling from head-to-toe in her own stunning jewels.
She looked exquisite in a stunning floor-length gown, that she cinched in at the waist with a black belt.
Her newly-lightened locks fell elegantly around her shoulders to frame her face in relaxed waves.
The Academy-Award winning actress, who is said to be 'heartbroken' by the great loss, maintained her poise throughout, looking far more youthful than her 47 years would allow.
Nicole broke her silence in the aftermath of her father's passing only to thank fans for their support on Wednesday.
The mum-of-four wrote: 'We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks.
'We are all heartbroken but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting. Sending love, Nic and Keith xx'
The actress has been taking some time to grieve with her husband and daughters Faith Margaret Kidman Urban and Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and attend her father's funeral.
The Hours actress delivered a eulogy to family and friends that read: 'I'm so lucky to be his daughter and that he chose my mother to make me with.
'The only regret he'd have is that he's not here to see his beautiful grandchildren grow up," Kidman continued. "And that he's not here to take care of [my mother] Jay.'
Although Nicole and Keith's children were at the ceremony, the actress was crushed when children with ex-husband Tom Cruise - Isabella, 21, and Connor, 19 - didn't attend.
In June this year, a beaming Nicole Kidman, 46 walked the red carpet with her father and husband Keith Urban at the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball in Melbourne.
Antony Kidman had been visiting Nicole's sister on the weekend of his untimely death.
